Work with a fun, friendly, and professional photographer.
There are hundreds of photographers out there. They very on their style, subject matter, and personality. It can be hard to find someone who brings their talents to a shoot, as well as their personality and heart. Photography for me is more than just a “job”. It is a combination of all of the things I love: capturing and creating aesthetic beauty, being goofy, connecting with people, and being creative.
This is me
I am based out of San Diego, California and have been a passionate photographer for pretty much my entire life (I mean, as passionate as a 5 year old with a camera could be). I love to travel, capture life in the moment, and am constantly working to improve my skills and myself. I have always loved the outdoors. I grew up in Wisconsin and spent my summers hiking, biking, canoeing, camping, exploring and I still enjoy doing these things whenever possible. I graduated from the Art Institute of California-San Diego with a degree in Advertising, and after college, I worked as a designer, associate art director, creative manager, and a variety of other corporate jobs. I am now following my heart and dream and doing photography full time.

What happens during a session?
People often wonder how it works when they hire a photographer and what they are spending their money on. The planning and the session vary from person to person and situation to situation, but here is a general guide to what will happen:
Pre-session meet
This can be done over the phone, through text or email, or in person. It is mostly just figuring out what you are looking for, getting to know you a little bit, and helping you with any questions you may have about wardrobe, location, or anything else.
The shoot
On the day and time we decide for your session, we will meet there, photograph for an hour or so, depending on wardrobes, location, and number of people. Expect to have a ton of fun, and also an adventure!
Post-processing
Here is where most of my times goes. I go through the photos, select the best, edit the lighting, photo coloring, and adjust anything that may be out of place. There are guaranteed to be a few photos where you are blinking or making an unflattering face, you don’t need to see those 😉
Viewing & ordering
After all the photos are edited, I will send you a link so that you can view the photos. You are welcome to do this in the comfort of your own home, via the link that I send, or we can meet somewhere and talk about ordering prints/albums/cards/etc… or digital files.

On Location
I work with my clients on location, outside of a studio. This allows me to save on cost for you, as well as use the beauty of natural light to enhance photos. I can also use my own home, or my clients homes to do more intimate photos, or newborn sessions and utilize studio lighting.
